Our Founders

Chris and Jamie Harper established this coffee shop in Destin, Florida, with a purposeful mission - to bring vision, hope, and support to the community. They donate the proceeds from every cup of coffee to ministries like Mission of Hope, aiding the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

After moving from Colorado Springs, Chris and Jamie faced challenges due to Chris's degenerative nerve condition. They made the tough decision to leave their successful home-remodel company and start anew in Destin. Guided by faith, they embraced the journey, eventually founding Destin Dreamers, a property management company, and Elevated Laundry, a state-of-the-art laundry facility.

As the coffee shop idea took shape, Chris and Jamie saw an opportunity to fill a void in the community. They transformed an old cigar shop into Causeway Coffee, envisioning it as a nonprofit organization that would support local and global communities in need.

Led by their faith, Chris and Jamie connected with Mission of Hope, inspired by the work of Brad and Venessa Johnson in Haiti and the DR. They eagerly support the ministry of Mission of Hope and believe in sowing into the Kingdom of God, fostering a movement of positive change in their community.

Chris and Jamie's journey proves that new beginnings can arise from challenging circumstances. They invite others to embrace faith, believe beyond perceived limitations, and let God work in their lives, just as He has in theirs

Our Missions Outreach

We are more than just a coffee shop; we are a team driven by a passion for making a positive impact in the world around us. One of our most significant commitments is our partnership with Mission of Hope, an incredible organization that has been transforming lives since 1998.

Mission of Hope's mission resonates deeply with our values as we seek to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of every person we encounter. By equipping individuals with the power to create positive change, they are making a lasting impact on communities. Through providing nourishment, education, and medical care, Mission of Hope is inspiring a better future for countless generations, and we are so excited to be a small part of it by giving our proceeds to this mission.

As part of the Causeway Coffee family, we are wholeheartedly committed to life transformation for every man, woman, and child. Together, we embrace the opportunity to build a brighter future for those we serve, following Jesus' teachings wherever He leads us.

In addition to our work with Mission of Hope, we are passionate about supporting various local outreach efforts. Our hearts are drawn to initiatives that make a tangible difference within our immediate community. As a team, we envision actively supporting projects such as sponsoring local school athletic teams, honoring our local law enforcement, firefighters, and supporting our armed forces, participating in small church outreaches, offering assistance to kids with disabilities, and reaching out to those experiencing homelessness.
